Europol ready to tackle Crypto Crime by developing serious game to teach law enforcement officers.

A serious game is being developed to teach law enforcement officers how to tackle crypto crime by Europol. It was announced during the 6th Cryptocurrency Conference hosted at Europol’s headquarters from 12th to 14th June.

European crime fighting agency said “The game will give officers an opportunity to get ‘hands-on’ training and advice on how to trace cryptocurrencies in any form of it in criminal investigations.”

Europol said it is being developed in partnership with CENTRIC (the Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence and Organised Crime Research). The project is regarded as a “cryptocurrency-tracing serious game,”
The final product is planned for launch in October At the Europol-Interpol Cybercrime Conference in October when the final product is billed to be launched.

According to Europol, “The game will be the first law enforcement training opportunity on cryptocurrency and investigation using gamification,”.
Over 300 cryptocurrency experts coming from both law enforcement and the private sector were in attendance at the Cryptocurrency Conference.

The event was looking at opportunities for closer cooperation and new partnerships, to assist asset recovery , prevent and detect cryptocurrency-facilitated crime.
