Opportunity for African Game developers, via Google accelerator.

Google’s Indie Games Accelerator programme was limited to gaming talent from India, Pakistan and Southeast Asia prior to now. Google says they are branching out to enable the programme to give a chance to “select markets in Asia, Middle East & Africa, and Latin America to support indie game startups.” in the 2019 edition. Consequently, the programme is now open to the Middle East and Africa, developers and startups from  Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Nigeria, South Africa, Tunisia and Turkey for application.

Google’s Independent Games Accelerator was created as a special edition of Launchpad Accelerator availed for helping top indie game developers from select emerging markets achieve their full potential on Google Play, according to Google.  it is notable that the Launchpad features a comprehensive gaming curriculum and mentorship from top mobile gaming experts. Gaming boot camps in Singapore, personalized mentorship, invites to exclusive events, and more are the benefits for prospective applicants that are successful.
